Arrest Made for Man Found Shot to Death in West Babylon in 2009

Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives arrested a Manhattan man today in connection with a 2009 homicide which occurred on Kellum Street in West Babylon on January 31, 2009.

Daniel Greenspan of Manhattan has been charged with Murder in connection to the 2009 shooting of Michael E. Sinclair of Brooklyn in West Babylon.

Update - December 13, 2015 - Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives arrested a Manhattan man today in connection with a 2009 homicide which occurred on Kellum Street in West Babylon on January 31, 2009. Daniel Greenspan, 28, of Manhattan, was arrested near his residence this morning.  Greenspan will be held at the Third Precinct pending arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip December 14.

A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Update - January 31, 2009 - Michael E. Sinclair, 32, of Brooklyn, has been identified as the man discovered in the roadway in front of 110 Kellum St., West Babylon this morning.  Sinclair was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital where he died.

West Babylon, NY - January 31, 2009 - The Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad is investigating the death of a man found in West Babylon.

First Precinct police officers were called to Kellum Street in West Babylon early this morning after residents called 911 and reported hearing gunfire. When police arrived, they discovered an adult male, who been shot multiple times, in the roadway. The victim was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital where he died. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of family.
