For the Coastal Flood Statement, until 2 PM EDT this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Brief minor flooding of the more vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline this morning. Shallow flooding is expected in the most vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline tonight. Some roads and low lying property including parking lots, parks, lawns and homes/businesses with basements near the waterfront will experience shallow flooding.

Uniondale, NY - December 10th, 2013 - The First Squad reports the Arrest of a Uniondale man that occurred in Uniondale on Monday, December 9, 2013 at 6:18 P.M.

According to detectives, a 16 year old male victim was walking on Ruxton Street when he was approached by Rodney Arthur, age 20 of 1251 Warwick Street. The defendant asked the victim to borrow his cell phone to make a call and after doing so fled on foot with the phone. The victim gave chase eventually catching up to the defendant but was then pushed away. A 24 year old male observed the disturbance and assisted the victim. They caught the defendant on Warwick Street and held him until police arrived. No injuries were reported and the phone was not recovered.

Arthur was charged with Robbery 3rd Degree and will be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Tuesday, December 10, 2013.
