One Dead, Three Injured in Early Morning Lynbrook Three-Vehicle Collision

The operator of a 2009 BMW, age 19, sustained extensive internal injuries and was pronounced dead at a local area hospital.

The Homicide Squad reports the details of a Fatal Vehicular Accident that occurred at 12:03am on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 in Lynbrook.
 
According to Detectives, vehicle one, a 2009 BMW operated by a male, 19, was travelling southbound on Ocean Avenue when it was in a collision with vehicle two, a Nissan Pathfinder.  
 
The Pathfinder was occupied by the male driver, 57, and a female passenger, 51, and travelling northeast at the intersection of Ocean Avenue and Peninsula Boulevard.  
 
After striking the Pathfinder, vehicle one – the BMW then struck vehicle three, a 2019 Dodge Ram pick-up truck operated by a male, 38, that was stopped on Ocean Avenue at a traffic light facing northbound.  
 
The operator of vehicle one sustained extensive internal injuries and was transported by Nassau County Ambulance to a local area hospital where he was pronounced at 1:25am.  
 
The other three victims were transported by the Lynbrook Fire Department Ambulances to local area hospitals for treatment of minor injuries. All vehicles will be impounded for vehicle and safety checks.   
 
The investigation is ongoing.
