NCPD: Three Teens from Queens Arrested for Stealing Packages from Doorsteps

Franklin Square, NY - November 23rd, 2013 - Fourth Squad detectives report the arrests of three Queens Village men for petit larcenies that occurred in Franklin Square and Elmont of Friday, 11/23/13 at 1:00 P.M.
 
According to detectives, Akil John, 16, of 225-33 113th Ave., John Lee, 16, of 225-32 113th Ave. and Vladimir Felix, 17, of 225-14 112th Rd.,  while riding their bicycles followed delivery vehicles and a UPS truck to watch the drivers make deliveries.  The defendants went to various dwellings and removed delivered packages from the front of the houses.  After opening the packages, the defendants kept the items they liked and discarded other items throughout the neighborhood.  Fourth Precinct Police officers located the defendants in Franklin Square a short time later and placed them under arrest.
 
John, Lee and Felix are being charged with (7) counts each of Petit Larceny and will be arraigned on Saturday, 11/23/13 in First District Court, Hempstead.
