Nothing kicks off the holidays like a good old-fashioned Christmas Tree lighting. Catch one of these holiday celebrations in your community this year and get into the spirit.


6th Annual Tree Lighting at Broadway Commons - Saturday, November 23rd, 6-7pm. JA magical evening as Santa lights the Christmas Tree. Enjoy holiday giveaways, entertainment, raffles, and more as we wait for the grand finale. Location: Broadway Commons, 358 N. Broadway Mall, Hicksville.


Tanger Outlets Annual Holiday Festival and Christmas Tree Lighting - Saturday, November 23rd, 2-6pm. Enjoy a special afternoon of festive fun activities for the whole family - including a special concert by pop sensation Brynn Cartelli followed by the official Tanger Christmas Tree Lighting. Location: Tanger Outlets Deer Park, 152 The Arches Cir, Deer Park.


The Millieridge Village Tree Lighting - Friday, November  29th, 6-8pm. Special guest characters, carolers, hot chocolate and Santa lighting the tree. Location: The Milleridge Village, 585 N Broadway, Jericho.


Mattituck's 2019 Holiday Tree Lighting - Friday, November, 29th. This year's Holiday Tree Lighting will be held at Raymond Nine Park on Main Road in Mattituck. Visit the Mattituck Chamber of Commerce's website for details. Location: Raymond Nine Park, Main Road, Mattituck.


Northport Christmas Tree Lighting - Friday November 29th, 7pm. Location: Northport Village Park, 63 Bayview Avenue, Northport.


Sayville's 13th Annual Miracle on Main Street - Saturday, November 30th, 5-9pm. The event will make the beginning of the holiday season with a parade, Winter Wonderland (Small Business Saturday), tree lighting, and live reindeer and a visit from Santa! Location: Main Street - Sayville, Between Green and Gillette Avenues, Sayville.


Montauk's 2019 "Lighting the Lighthouse" - Saturday, November 30th, 5-7pm. The Montauk Lighthouse, which will be covered in beautiful lights, will be illuminated during this special holiday ceremony. Free admission and parking, though donations are welcome. Location: Montauk Lighthouse, 2000 Montauk Highway, Montauk.


Patchogue Village's 57th Annual Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting - Saturday, November 30th, 6-10pm. Parade starts at West Ave heading East on Main Street and concluding on route 112. Come See Ronald McDonald, Marching Bands, Scouts, Twirlers, Carolers, Fire Trucks, Floats, Antique Car/Truck Clubs And more!!" Location: Patchogue Village, Main Street, Patchogue.

Vanderbilt Mansion's Annual Tree Lighting - Saturday, November 30th, 4:30pm. "This free, popular event includes carol singing, a children’s ornament-making workshop, a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus (great photo opportunity), hot chocolate and cookies. Location: Vanderbilt Museum, 180 Little Neck Road, Centerport.


Holiday Tree Lighting at The Shoppes at East Wind - Sunday, December 1st, 3-8pm. Annual holiday tree lighting. Stop by to put a letter in Santa’s mailbox, enjoy our live DJ and dancing, and more holiday fun including holiday shopping. Have a visit with Santa and tell him your Christmas wish when he arrives on the fire trucks. Location: 5768 Route 25A, Wading River.


Tree Lighting at Bayard Cutting Arboretum State Park - Friday, December 6th, 5:30pm. Everyone is welcome to participate in the twenty-third annual Yuletide Celebration at Bayard Cutting Arboretum. Join us in a sing-a-long of traditional holiday carols while awaiting the arrival of Santa Claus. Upon his arrival, Santa will light the tree for the 2019 holiday season. Hot beverages will be served outside after Santa lights the tree. All activities will take place outside so dress accordingly. The Manor House will not be open. In the spirit of giving, please bring canned goods or a new, unwrapped toy for those in need in our community. Location: 440 Montauk Highway, Great River.


Tree Lighting and Holiday Light Spectacular at the Holtsville Ecology Site - Friday, December 6th, 6pm. Last year, several thousand people walked through the winter wonderland of lighted, festive displays, before stopping to take their photos with Santa in his workshop. Location: Holtsville Ecology Site, 249 Buckley Road, Holtsville.


Orient Beach State Park's 2019 Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony - Friday, December 6th, 6:30pm. It is a joyous occasion when more than 300 visitors come to Light Up the Season at the thirty-third annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony at Orient Beach State Park. The tree is lit by Santa and he is available for pictures afterwards. Hot chocolate and cookies will be served. In the spirit of the season the Park will be collecting winter coats and non-perishable food items for families in need. Location: Orient Beach State Park, 40000 Main Road, Orient.


Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony at Belmont Lake State Park - Saturday, December 7th, 4:15pm. Patrons walk through a winter wonderland on their way to the main area for the tree lighting on the front lawn of the Headquarters Building. In addition to the holiday music and tree lighting by Santa Claus there is an ice sculptor, juggler, refreshments and fireworks. The public can also visit with Santa inside the lobby of the Headquarters. Location: 625 Belmont Ave, West Babylon.


2019 Christmas Tree Lighting at Deepwells - Saturday, December 7th, 4:30pm. Families will enjoy a holiday celebration with music, treats, a visit by Santa, and the lighting of the Christmas tree. Location: Deepwells Farm County Park, Route 25A and Moriches Road, St. James.


Tree Lighting Ceremony at Cold Spring Harbor Fish Hatchery & Aquarium - Saturday, December 7th, 5-7pm. Santa Claus will light the Hatchery’s Christmas Tree at 5:30pm. Location: Cold Spring Harbor Fish Hatchery & Aquarium, 1660 Route 25A, Cold Spring Harbor.

Bellport Village's 2019 Tree Lighting Ceremony - Saturday, December 7th, 6pm. Parade, treats, Santa and Christmas tree lighting. Visit the Chamber's website for details. Location: Bellport Lane, Bellport.


First Night and Tree Lighting - Saturday, December 7th, 6-8pm. Westbury House decorated for the season especially illuminated in the night’s special experience. Take a self-guided tour through the period rooms with enchanting floral decorations or greet Santa and have cookies and cider. A Christmas-themed concert performed by the Bethel Concert Choir is at 6:30pm is followed by a tree-lighting. Location: Old Westbury Gardens, 71 Old Westbury Rd, Old Westbury.


Grace Tree Lighting & Christkindl Market - Saturday, December 7th, 2-7pm. Christkindl Market featuring a visit with St. Nick, Mrs. Claus' Cookie Bar, Homemade jams, jellies for sale, Christmas Crafts, 50/50 raffle, Performance by Grace & St. Rose Choirs. Early Childhood students perform in Church, followed by Tree Lighting. Thrifty Boutique open. Massapequa Historical Society will be offering tours of the Old Grace Church complex. Location: Grace Episcopal Church, 23 Cedar Shore Drive, Massapequa.


Annual Tree Lighting and Visit with Santa - Saturday, December 7th, 6-8pm. All welcome to come celebrate the Holiday Season as they light the tree in the front of the Chamber Train Car. Enjoy sounds of the Season from The highly talented School of Rock, Dance performances by the beautiful BackStage Dance Crew and enjoy some treats donated by local businesses. Location: Port Jeff Station / Terryville Chamber Train Car Park, 1003 Rt 112, Port Jefferson Station.


Holiday Lighting at Wardenclyffe - Saturday, December 7th, 3-6pm. Celebrate the season in electrifying style with the Tesla Science Center at Wardenclyffe!  Get in the spirit at the 7th Annual Holiday Lighting with spectacular light displays, music, holiday activities for all ages, and a special visit from Santa –perfect for photo opp for your Instagram. Plus, lots of Tesla gifts for holiday shoppers! Come out and support Tesla. Location: Tesla Science Center at Wardenclyffe, 5 Randall Road, Shoreham.


Tree Lighting at Planting Fields Arboretum State Historic Park - Friday, December 13th, 5:30-8pm. The Planting Fields Arboretum State Historic Park will be celebrating its fifteenth annual Holiday Tree Lighting this year. Carolers kick off the festivities singing on the south side of the Camelia Greenhouse, then Santa Claus arrives to light the holiday tree. Patrons can view the first floor of Coe Hall’s exquisite interior and enjoy the view of the spectacular poinsettia display in the main greenhouse and meet Santa in the Hay Barn or enjoy refreshments in the café.
