Hate in Hempstead Caught on Video: Police Seeking Suspect Who Caused $2,000 in Damage to Menorah

The Fifth Squad reports on a Criminal Mischief incident that occurred on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 12:35 AM in Hempstead.
 
According to Detectives, an unknown subject walked up to a large menorah located on the front lawn of a residence on Nassau Boulevard. The subject then used an unknown object and struck the menorah, destroying two lights and causing approximately $2,000 USC in damages. 
 
The subject then fled on foot on Nassau Boulevard in an unknown direction. 
 
The investigation is ongoing.
