The Nassau County Police Department reports an arrest of a Roosevelt man for Driving While Intoxicated (Leandra’s Law) on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at 10:25 PM in Baldwin.
 
According to Police, Officers responded to a 911 call for an auto accident in the vicinity of Forest Avenue and Centennial Avenue. Defendant Anthony Bolasingh, 31, of 191 N. Brookside Avenue was operating a 1999 BMW 540 when he struck a 2018 Toyota Prius operated by a 44- year-old male and then colliding with a pole.
 
A subsequent investigation was conducted and Anthony Bolasingh was placed under arrest without incident. A female passenger, 31, was injured and taken to a local area hospital for treatment. The defendants two children, ages 9 & 10, were also passengers in his vehicle but were unharmed.
 
Defendant Anthony Bolasingh is charged with Driving While Intoxicated, two (2) counts of Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated (Child under 16) under the Leandra’s Law, two (2) counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3 rd Degree and Unlicensed Operation of a vehicle. He will be arraigned on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at First District Court, Hempstead.
