Police: Four Hicksville Men Arrested in Connection with Gang Assault

Hicksville, NY - October 3, 2018 - The Second Squad reports the details of 4 Hicksville men arrested for an Assault that occurred on Monday, October 1, 2018 in Hicksville.
 
According to detectives, a 17 year old male victim was playing cricket with his friends at Glenbrook Road Park when a large group of males approached them looking to start a fight.  Four (4) subjects punched and kicked the victim in the head, back, neck and arms causing swelling and contusions. The victim was also struck with a metal bat and suffered a broken left arm. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
 
Further investigation led to the arrest of the four (4) individuals.
 
Defendant  Rajan Kumar, 19, is charged with Assault 2nd Degree and Gang Assault 1st Degree.  Defendant Kuldeep Singh, 19, is charged with Assault 2nd Degree, Gang Assault 1st Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree. Defendant Harpreet Singh, 19, is charged with Assault 2nd Degree and Gang Assault 1st Degree. Defendant Ranjit Singh, 18, is charged with Assault 2nd Degree, Gang Assault 1st Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree. 
 
All four (4) defendants were arraigned on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 in First District Court in Hempstead.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
