NCPD: Arrest Made in Connection with Knifepoint Robbery of Bethpage 7-11

Eighth Squad Detectives have announced an arrest in connection with a Robbery that occurred on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 1:40 am in Bethpage.
 
According to detectives, a then-unknown male entered 7-11 located at 4220 Hempstead Turnpike. The subject displayed a knife and demanded cash. The male employee complied, opened the register and the subject removed an undisclosed amount of US currency. The subject fled on foot in an unknown direction.
 
No injuries were reported.
 
Kenneth Amblo, 51, of 11 Shubert Lane was arrested for the above incident. Amblo was also responsible for a second robbery at the same location on August 24, 2023.  
 
Defendant Amblo is charged with two (2) counts of Robbery 1st Degree and four (4) counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon. He will be arraigned on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at First District Court, Hempstead.
