NCPD: Man Slashes Walmart Employee With Box Cutter While Attempting to Steal TV Set

NCPD are seeking a man disguised as a Walmart employee who robbed the Valley Stream Walmart and fled in a Honda Pilot on January 10.

Valley Stream, NY - January 11, 2017 - The Fifth Squad is investigating a Robbery that occurred on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 7:48AM, in Valley Stream.
 
According to detectives, a male subject did attempt to leave the Walmart department store, carrying a television without making payment. The store is located at 77 Green Acres  Road. An 18 year old female employee approached the subject at which time the subject displayed a box cutter type knife and slashed the victims arm, causing the jacket to be torn. There were no injuries reported. 
 
The subject fled on foot with the television and was observed entering a light blue or gray Honda Pilot, traveling northbound on Green Acres Road. The subject is described as a male black, 6’0, approximately 40-50 years of age, stocky build, wearing a gray sweater, grey hat, black pants, black shoes and a Walmart vest.
