NCPD: Uniondale Man Arrested for Assault

A man has been arrested after allegedly slashing a victim with a knife outside a bar.

Uniondale, NY - March 28, 2014 - Special Investigations Squad detectives report the arrest of a Uniondale man for an Assault that occurred on February 7, 2014 at 2:51 am in Uniondale.
 
According to detectives, Kahlil Perotte, 28, of 698 Jaffa Avenue became involved in an altercation with a 33 year old male victim who he has had an ongoing dispute with. After being asked to leave the Classico Bar, 463 Jerusalem Avenue, both Perotte and the victim left the bar and continued their dispute outside. Perotte withdrew a knife and slashed the victim across his forearm and again across the side of his head. Perotte then fled the scene on foot southbound on Leonard Avenue.
 
The victim was transported to an area hospital where he received approximately 60 stitches to close the wounds to his forearm and his head.
 
A subsequent investigation by detectives led them to Perotte and after making contact with him, the defendant surrendered himself at the First Precinct on 03/27/2014 at 8:25 pm.
 
Perotte is charged with Assault 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree. He will be arraigned in First District Court, Hempstead on 03/28/2014.
