Farmingdale, NY - September 26th, 2013 -  Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Identity Theft Section detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate a subject who used personal information from another individual to obtain a debit card in the victim’s name and purchase electronics.

An unknown subject used personal information stolen from a Farmingdale resident to obtain a debit card attached to the victim’s bank account. The debit card was used to purchase laptops and other electronics from multiple locations including Best Buy in Kingston, New York, and two Manhattan Apple stores on May 22.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
