Long Island offers some of the best farms no matter what the season. Nowhere else do you get the diversity and beauty that Long Island farms offer. Not to mention the wholesome family fun. Below we picked five great farms for you to head to this summer.

Lavender by the Bay - Tickets available online for purchase through July 23rd for both fields. Lavender is still looking great but it won’t last forever. You can also purchase lavender curbside. Waterdrinker - Sunflowers are blooming and there are other fun family activities too. Location: 663 Wading River Road, Manorville, (631) 878-8653.

 

Patty’s Berries and Bunches - Offers seasonal berries that can be bought at the farm stand or you can pick your own from the fields. Blueberries and raspberries are in season during July and August. Location: 410 Sound Avenue, Mattituck, (631) 298-4679.

 

Southold Bay Oysters - Okay so it’s not a traditional farm but where else can you find a shellfish farm growing Southold Shindig Oysters? They have tastings and tours. Location:10273 N Bayview Road, Southold, (914) 602-3339.
