Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit detectives are investigating an attempted robbery that occurred at a North Babylon bank on Wednesday, July 5, 2023.
A man entered Bethpage Federal Credit Union, located at 1350 Deer Park Ave, at 9:30 a.m. and handed a teller a note demanding cash. The man fled the bank on foot with no proceeds.
The man was described as Black, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, and was wearing gloves, a baseball hat, surgical mask, glasses, sneakers and gray sweatshirt.
Detectives are asking anyone with information on this incident to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
