Motorcycle and Vehicle Collide in Bethpage Over Memorial Day Weekend, 1 Dead

The Homicide Squad reports the details of a fatal auto accident, involving a motorcycle, which occurred in Bethpage on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at 3:03 P.M.

Ryan Rogers, 22, of Farmingdale, was the driver of the motorcycle. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Bethpage, NY - May 29, 2016 - The Homicide Squad reports the details of a fatal auto accident, involving a motorcycle, which occurred in Bethpage on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at 3:03 P.M.

According to detectives, a 2015 Kawasaki motorcycle travelling eastbound on Central Ave. was in collision with a 1995 Oldsmobile, travelling westbound on Central Ave. and making a left turn onto Scherer Street.

Bethpage Fire Department ambulance transported both aided persons to local hospitals.  The male operator of the motorcycle, Ryan Rogers, 22, of Farmingdale, was pronounced dead at 3:24 P.M. by a staff physician.  The female operator, 84, of the Oldsmobile sustained superficial head and neck trauma.

Detectives report no apparent criminality.  Both vehicles were impounded for brake and safety checks.
