NCPD Crime Alert: Balwin Gas Station Robbed During Crime Spree

Baldwin, NY - May 19th, 2014 - The Robbery Squad is investigating a Robbery that occurred on Sunday May 18, 2014 at 11:07 p.m. in Baldwin.

According to detectives, a male white, 5’8” tall, thin build, wearing a black hooded jacket with gray stripes down the sleeves, black pants and a mask entered the Citgo Gas Station located at 820 Sunrise Highway. After selecting two items the subject approached the counter and displayed a black handgun in his right hand. He then demanded the money from the register.  The 45 year old male employee placed the cash in a black plastic bag along with the items. The subject fled on foot south on Milburn Avenue. There were no injuries reported. The investigation has determined the above subject was involved in an Attempted Robbery a short time earlier in Freeport.
