Police and firefighters responded to a 911 call for a fire at the 7-Eleven store on Sand Hill Road.

Wantagh, NY - May 11, 2018 - The Second Precinct reports the details of a Fire that occurred on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 1:40 a.m. in Wantagh.
 
According to police, patrol officers responded to a 911 call for a fire at the 7-Eleven store on Sand Hill Road. When units arrived, the store was engulfed in flames. Wantagh Fire Department arrived on the scene and extinguished the fire. Employees of the store escaped without injury. Arson Bomb Squad and the Fire Marshall are at the scene.
 
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
