Man Dies of Apparent Medical Incident Following Holbrook Motor Vehicle Crash

Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are investigating the death of a man from an apparent medical incident following a single vehicle crash in Holbrook on Friday, August 8.
 
A man was driving a 2005 Mercury Sable on the North Service Road of the Long Island Expressway when he had an apparent medical incident, during which the Mercury left the roadway and struck a guardrail near the intersection of Laurel Street at 12:53 a.m.
 
The man, whose name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Mercury was impounded for a safety check. Anyone with information on this crash is asked to contact Sixth Squad detectives at 631-854-8652.
