COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 AM EDT FRIDAY * LOCATIONS...Vulnerable coastal locales along the western portions of the Long Island Sound. * TIDAL DEPARTURE...Minor coastal flooding from tidal departures of around 1 1/2 ft above astronomical tides tonight. Localized minor coastal flooding from tidal departures around 1 ft above astronomical tides Friday. * COASTAL FLOOD IMPACTS...Shallow flooding is expected in the most vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline tonight. Expect around 1 to 1 1/2, to locally 2 feet of inundation above ground level in low lying, vulnerable areas. Some roads and low lying property including parking lots, parks, lawns and homes/businesses with basements near the waterfront will experience shallow flooding. * SHORELINE IMPACTS...Breaking waves will result in beach erosion with splashover onto shoreline roads and adjacent properties and minor damage possible to shoreline structures during the times of high tide. * TIMING...During the times of high tide tonight and Friday.

NCPD are investigating Criminal Mischief in Roosevelt.

Roosevelt, NY - May 7, 2018 - First Squad detectives are investigating a Criminal Mischief that occurred on Friday, May 4, 2018 at 5:13 p.m. in Roosevelt.
 
According to detectives, First Precinct officers responded to a “Shot Spotter” activation in the vicinity of Pennsylvania Ave. They subsequently observed bullet holes in 82 as well as 88 Pennsylvania Ave. Further investigation revealed both of the bullet holes are from the same shot. No related injuries have been reported. The investigation is ongoing.
