Bethpage, NY - April 13th, 2015 - Adults and Children with Learning and Developmental Disabilities, Inc. (ACLD), a leading Long Island based not-for-profit agency devoted to supporting the pursuit of an enviable life for children and adults with autism, learning and other developmental disabilities, is pleased to announce two hires and two promotions in the areas of Finance, Operations and Programming.
Anthony Perfetti, CPA, of Westbury, has joined ACLD as its new Chief Financial Officer. He spent the previous six years as the Assistant Treasurer at Molloy College and has more than 40 years of experience in accounting and finance – half of which has been spent within not-profit organizations. As new CFO, Mr. Perfetti is responsible for ensuring financial discipline in ACLD’s decision-making, and oversees the day-to-day operations of all finance areas including budgeting, payroll, banking relationships and internal control. He earned his MBA in Finance from Adelphi University and holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting from St. John’s University.
Also new to ACLD is Richard VanDyke of Northport, who has joined the organization as its new Director of Business Operations. He was previously the Assistant Information Technology Director at AHRC Nassau and has more than 15 years experience in information systems management and facilities management. In his new role, Mr. VanDyke is responsible for strategic planning as well as leading the organization’s technology and facilities management staff through evolving industry environments. He is also charged with the implementation, supervision, operation, monitoring and evaluation of technology and facilities management initiatives at ACLD’s multiple locations. Mr. VanDyke holds a degree in Computer Science from SUNY-Empire State College and is a Master Electrician.
Beyond its new hires, ACLD has also issued two new promotions. Joel Santana of Sayville has been promoted to the post of Director of Regulatory Affairs. He had been Assistant Director of Quality Management for ACLD since August 2013 and has spent 15 years in the developmental disabilities field. In his new role, Mr. Santana’s responsibility includes ensuring that ACLD complies with all regulations relevant to the operation of its programs along with making sure that corrective and preventive action plans are implemented to address issues of potential non-compliance. He is also charged with overseeing the development of department and program standards, policies and procedures. Mr. Santana holds a dual degree in Psychology and Spanish from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
Also recently promoted is Donna Celardo of Syosset. Previously ACLD Assistant Director of Residential Services since 2007 with nearly 30 years of experience in the developmental disabilities field, Ms. Celardo is now ACLD’s new Director of Day and Community Support Services. In her new position, she is responsible for overseeing the delivery of all services within ACLD’s day habilitation, vocational, service coordination and family support services programs. She also administers and coordinates departmental and agency hiring, budget development and strategic planning, and is charged with establishing policies and procedures to ensure the agency’s compliance with various regulations governing its programs. Ms. Celardo holds a degree in Psychology from Adelphi University where she is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Health Administration.
