Man Charged With Robbing a Dozen Banks Pleads Guilty

A 30 year old Brentwood man charged with committing a dozen gas station robberies pleaded guilty today during a court conference in Riverhead, Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota said.

Brentwood, NY - February 20, 2015 - A 30 year old Brentwood man charged with committing a dozen gas station robberies pleaded guilty. Today during a court conference in Riverhead, Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota said.

David Murphy, 30, of Brentwood, will be sentenced by Judge Martin Efman to seven years in prison on March 31.

County Police Pattern Crime Unit detectives arrested Murphy in October of last year.

From August 20 until October 22, Murphy robbed gas stations in Copiague, Central Islip, Brentwood, Bay Shore, Hauppauge, Islip Terrace, and Holtsville.
