Amazon has been expanding across Long Island with last-mile facility locations built in Bethpage, Holbrook, Shirley, Commack, Carle Place, Garden City and proposed warehouses in Syosset.
To meet demand for same day delivery they are hiring at their locations in Bethpage and Carle Place as well as seeking associates for their Whole Foods grocery stores. Given that “Prime Day” is approaching in March they say that they will definitely be seeing an increase in labor order for all Long Island locations as well, the company said in a statement.
Amazon is hiring for:
- Sortation Associates for Delivery Stations where associates scan, sort, and load customer orders.
- Prime Now Associates which includes packing grocery orders in a cooler, refrigerator like setting.
- Whole Food Market Personal Shoppers where associates choose items in Whole Foods for customer orders. (Not a driver position.)
Amazon offers a wide range of positions including Flex schedules (where employees choose any shift they like per week), full time and part time.
