Felonious Females In Custody After Stabbing Victim During Valley Stream Carjacking, Cops Say

All three defendants are being charged with Robbery 1st degree, two counts Robbery 2nd degree, Grand Larceny 4th degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree.

The Fifth Squad reports on the arrest of two females and one female juvenile for a Robbery that occurred on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at 10:00 p.m. in Valley Stream.
 
According to Detectives, a male victim, 37, was sitting in his 2017 white Kia Sportage at a Shell Gas Station located at 100 West Merrick Road when he was approached by three female subjects who demanded that he get out of his vehicle. When the victim refused, a struggle ensued. During the struggle the victim did suffer a stab wound to the middle part of his back. All three subjects entered the victim’s vehicle and fled eastbound on West Merrick Road. 
 
While canvassing, Officers observed the vehicle traveling northbound on Franklin Avenue. Officers activated their emergency lights and conducted an investigation in the parking lot of 355 Franklin Avenue. 
 
One of the passengers exited the vehicle and began walking eastbound on Polk Avenue. The second passenger/defendant Laychelle Robinson, 20, of 11-03 Clarkson Avenue, Brooklyn and driver/defendant Arianna Smith, 19, of 301 West 153rd Street, Harlem stayed in the vehicle and were placed into custody without further incident. 
 
Soon after, Officers observed a female matching the description near the intersection of Lincoln Street and Van Buren Avenue and the female juvenile was placed into custody without further incident. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment and evaluation. 
 
All three defendants are being charged with Robbery 1st degree, two counts Robbery 2nd degree, Grand Larceny 4th degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree. They will be arraigned on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
