When not serving the residents of Nassau County in the Department of Public Works as project manager and chief inspector, John O’Dougherty is a reservist in the U.S. Marines.  O’Dougherty spent inauguration Day protecting the public, according to a post by Nassau County Executive Laura Curran on Facebook.

“John is instrumental in overseeing road resurfacing and construction projects,” the post said. “Today, he’s protecting the Inauguration along with thousands of reservists. Thank you for your service!”
