This October, Get Lost in a Corn Maze and Celebrate the Season!
After a summer of eating delicious local corn, the corn fields are transformed into mazes. The larger-than-life corn mazes offer the challenge of finding your way through winding paths to solve a mystery, claim a prize, or just make it to the other side - a perfect fall activity that gets kids and parents working together or gets the competitive juices flowing.  Wear comfortable shoes or rainboots, if it has recently rained to walk through the acres upon acres of the maze. Some of the corn mazes are opened after dark for a spooky experience.

The Port Jefferson Music Festival
Join the Village of Port Jefferson as they celebrate their seventh annual music festival! Held on Main Street and starting on Friday, this festival will benefit the Long Island Music Hall of Fame. With over 35 performers, activities for kids, and raffles to win prizes this will definitely be a rockin’ event! This event is hosted by J.Faith Entertainment and the Inc. Village of Port Jefferson.

9th Annual Fall Festival on the Lake
Looking for some fall fun this weekend? Head out to Michael P. Murphy Beach for the 9th Annual Fall Festival on the Lake! Being held the Saturday, September 29th, this will be a day you won’t want to miss! Join the fun with food, vendors, petting zoo, pumpkin painting, entertainment, pony rides, fishing, children's activities and much more! Rain date is Sunday, September 30th.

Smithsonian Museum Day
Head out to the Long Island Museum this Saturday, September 29th from 10AM-5PM for the Eighth Annual Museum Day! This immensely successful program, in which the Long Island Museum will emulate the free admission policy of the Smithsonian Institution’s Washington, D.C.-based facilities, encourages learning and the spread of knowledge nationwide. Bring down the whole family for this day of free cultural education!

Westbury Kennel Association 95th Annual All Breed Dog Show
Join the Westbury Kennel Association as they celebrate their 95th Annual Dog Show this Sunday, September 30th!
