NCPD Announce Arrest Made in Connection with Uniondale Shooting Death

NCPD has announced an the arrest of Nerlin Omar Chacon-Ruano of Hempstead, 19, for a Homicide that occurred on Friday, September 15, in Uniondale.

Uniondale, NY - September 27, 2017 - The Homicide Squad has announced an arrest in connection with a Homicide that occurred on Friday, September 15, 2017 at 11:59 pm in Uniondale.
 
According to detectives, First Precinct Officers responded to shots fired on Walnut Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered Ayamiguel Ayala-Hernandez, 18 of Uniondale lying on the ground shot multiple times about the body.  The victim was transported to Nassau University Medical Center and pronounced deceased at 12:34 am by hospital staff.
 
Nerlin Omar Chacon-Ruano, 19, of Hempstead has been arrested and charged with Murder 2nd degree. He was arraigned on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at First District Court in Hempstead.
 
This investigation is ongoing.
