A shark that had been sighted off shore this week and caused beaches to close might have taken a bite out of this skate fish, according to multiple reports. The image, captured by Town of Hempstead lifeguards, shows the fish washed up on shore with bites taken out of it. The episode is reminiscent of the summer of 1975 and a real life version of the movie Jaws.
