An SPCA officer rescued an abandoned guinea pig in Selden.

Selden, NY - April 12, 2018 - On April 11, 2018 the Suffolk County SPCA received a call that an abandoned guinea pig was found in a sump located by the corner of Newtown and Tilden Avenues in Selden. The Suffolk County SPCA is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction of the individual(s) who abandoned the guinea pig.
 
One of the SPCA officers went to the location to rescue the guinea pig. This adorable, defenseless animal would not be able to care for itself or guard against other animals. The area has many cats.
