The Fourth Squad reports the arrest of a Hewlett man for an incident that occurred on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at 12:35 am in Island Park.
According to Detectives, officers responded to an Island Park residence for a disturbance. Upon police arrival, officers were informed that the defendant Danny Susi, 23, of 1185 E Broadway was involved in a verbal argument with a male victim, 53. As the argument escalated, Susi threatened the victim with a knife placing him in fear for his life. The defendant then intentionally damaged a door before fleeing scene.
Subsequent to the investigation, Officers located the defendant nearby and placed him under arrest without incident. He was transported to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment. No injuries were reported.
Defendant Danny Susi is charged with Attempted Assault 2 nd Degree, Menacing 2 nd Degree, Criminal Mischief 4 th Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4 th Degree. He will be arraigned on Thursday, April 4, 2024 in First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
