NCPD: Man Robbed Outside Car in Roosevelt

A man was robbed, possibly at gunpoint, after stepping out of his car to investigate a mechanical problem.

Roosevely, NY - December 20, 2013 - The First Squad is investigating a Robbery that occurred in Roosevelt on Sunday, December 29, 2013 at 10:20 pm.
 
According to detectives, a 23 year old male victim was driving his 2012 Honda at which time he stopped at 3rd Place and Valentine Street after hearing a mechanical noise coming from the car. After getting out and checking, the victim was approached from behind by an unknown subject that shoved the victim and himself into the car. The subject stated he had a gun and demanded money. The victim complied and handed over an undetermined amount of US currency. The subject then removed a cell phone from the vehicle and fled on foot east on Valentine Street. There were no injuries reported. There was no weapon recovered. The subject is described as a male black, 5’9” tall, 20-30 years of age, medium build, goatee.
