Mount Sinai, NY - November 26, 2018 - On Saturday, November 24th, Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker joined hundreds of students, parents, and faculty members at Mt. Sinai’s 8th Annual Turkey Trot 5K and Fun Run. Coordinated by the high school’s Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) Club and the Class of 2019, the event raised funds to benefit Holiday Magic.

“Through the hard work and dedication of the students and faculty who organized the Turkey Trot, needy families in our community will receive help during this holiday season,” said Legislator Anker.

Holiday Magic works with more than 20 Long Island not-for-profit organizations to assist in sheltering and providing resources to homeless children and their families. The money raised at the Mt. Sinai Turkey Trot event will help Holiday Magic purchase gifts for children in need, which will be handed-out at a special dinner at Mt. Sinai High School.
