Get into the spirit of the season by attending a concert, ballet or play and enjoy everything from jazz trios to solo guitarists performing traditional carols, original music, and new takes on Christmas classics. A Christmas Carol - Celebrate the season with Long Island's own holiday tradition and broadwayworld.com winner for Best Play. Barnaby Saves Christmas - Come join Santa, Barnaby, Franklynne and all of their friends for a wonderful holiday treat. As our littlest elf and his reindeer friend set off on their journey to save Christmas, they meet some new friends along the way and learn the true meaning of Christmas, Hanukah, and the holiday season. BARNABY SAVES CHRISTMAS celebrates its 14th anniversary! Theatre Three, 412 Main Street, Port Jefferson. When: November 18th-December 30th.

 

Christmas With Sal Valentinetti - Sal “The Voice” Valentinetti, Heidi Klum’s unforgettable 2016 Golden Buzzer recipient and finalist of America’s Got Talent, is an Italian-American crooner known best for his flawless vocals, larger than life personality, and his heart of gold. Born August 26, 1995, Sal was raised in the small town of Bethpage, New York where he still resides today. From a very young age Sal was influenced by his grandmother to love the musical genius of the classic crooner sounds of Dean Martin, Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra. Where: The Paramount, 370 New York Avenue, Huntington. When: November 30th at 8pm.

 

Holiday Spectacular on Ice Starring Nancy Kerrigan - Capture the magic of the season as we incredibly transform The Gateway stage into an ice rink for Holiday Spectacular On Ice. This enchanting musical celebration brings beloved holiday songs to life while emphasizing the beauty, grace and artistry of figure skating. Featuring show-stopping singers, dancers and astonishing performance artistry, this family-friendly musical celebration is literally the "coolest" show for all ages this holiday season. Location: The Gateway, 215 South Country Rd, Bellport. When: December 1-January 1.

 

Northport Nutcracker Ballet Hits the Road - Embark on a festive journey as the Northport Nutcracker Ballet hits the road and arrives at the enchanting Bayway Arts Center in East Islip! This beloved holiday tradition, featuring the timeless melodies of Tchaikovsky, promises to warm your heart on December 2nd at 12pm and 5pm, as well as on December 3rd at 12pm and 5pm. Where: Bayway Arts Center, 265 East Main Street, East Islip. When: December 2nd-3rd at Noon and 5pm.

 

Elf The Musical Jr - Buddy, a young orphan mistakenly crawls into Santa's bag of gifts and is transported to the North Pole. The would-be elf is raised unaware that he is actually a human, until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa's permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father and discover his true identity. Faced with the harsh reality that his father is on the naughty list, and his stepbrother doesn't even believe in Santa, Buddy is determined to win over his new family and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas. Where: Ballet Long Island, 1863 Pond Rd, Ronkonkoma. When: December 2nd-3rd at 3pm.

 

Elf the Movie - This 2003 fan-favorite Christmas comedy, directed by Jon Favreau and written by David Berenbaum, stars Will Ferrell as Buddy, a human raised by Santa’s elves, who learns about his origins and heads to New York City to meet his biological father. The film also features James Caan, Zooey Deschanel, Mary Steenburgen, Edward Asner, and Bob Newhart. Where: The Suffolk, 118 E Main Street, Riverhead. When: December 6th at 7pm.

 

Christmas Celebration On Ice - Are you ready for the most modern Christmas show yet? Well lace up and join us on an adventure like no other. Breathtaking modern effects will expand magic beyond the ice, immersing family and friends in a dazzling Christmas wonderland. Plus, amazing world professional ice skating champions skate to your favorite holiday classics. Bring everyone you love to this family-friendly experience. Location: The Patchogue Theater, 71 East Main Street, Patchogue. When: December 7th at 7pm.

 

The Nutcracker Act II - Ballet Long Island presents The Nutcracker. Audiences will once again be transported by the Sugar Plum Fairy to  The Land of Sweets and enjoy this family-friendly classic, set to the music of Tchaikovsky. Where: Ballet Long Island, 1863 Pond Road, Ronkonkoma. When: December 9th, 20th, 22nd and 23d.

 

How the Grinch Stole Christmas - How the Grinch Stole Christmas (also known as Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and The Grinch) is the 2000 Christmas classic directed by Ron Howard. Starring Jim Carrey as The Grinch with Taylor Momsen, Jeffrey Tambor, Christine Baranski, Bill Irwin and Molly Shannon. The movie follows the Grinch as he attempts to sabotage Whoville’s holiday plans. Where: The Suffolk, 118 E Main Street, Riverhead. When: December 13th at 7pm.

 

Johnny Cash Christmas Show at the Milleridge - Join us at The Cottage at the Milleridge Inn for a live performance by Walking the Line, on Saturday, December 16th. This experience also features a three-course dinner and open bar. Doors open at 6:30. Reservations are required for this experience. Where: The Milleridge Inn, 585 North Broadway, Jericho. When: December 16th at 7pm.

 

Sarah Conway & The Playful Souls Christmas Show - Where: The Stephen Talkhouse, 161 Main Street, Amagansett. When: December 16th at 8pm.

 

Cherish The Ladies: A Celtic Christmas - One of the most engaging and successful ensembles in the history of Celtic music, Cherish The Ladies have shared timeless Irish traditions with audiences worldwide for over thirty years. In their Celtic Christmas program, the Ladies put their signature mark on classic carols. Where: The Suffolk, 118 E Main Street, Riverhead. When: December 16th at 3pm.

 

A John Denver Christmas - Celebrate the Joy, Magic, and Memories of Christmas With Classic John Denver Songs Along With Holiday Favorites! Where: The Suffolk, 118 E Main Street, Riverhead. When: December 17th at 7pm.

 

Laurie Berkner: A Live Holiday Concert - Where: The Paramount, 370 New York Avenue, Huntington. When: December 17th at 11am.

 

Home Alone - This 1990 Christmas favorite, directed by Chris Columbus, stars Macaulay Culkin, Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern, John Heard, and Catherine O’Hara. Culkin plays Kevin McCallister, a boy who defends his suburban Chicago home from a home invasion after his family accidentally leaves him behind on their Christmas vacation to Paris. Where: The Suffolk, 118 E Main Street, Riverhead. When: December 20th at 7pm.

 

A Classical Christmas - For the first time ever, The Suffolk presents an enchanting evening of classical music highlighting all of the most beloved Christmas tunes that fill the air with holiday spirit! Escape the hustle and bustle of the season and witness 30-piece Long Island Concert Orchestra perform the nostalgic melodies of Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker,” Handel’s “Messiah,” Beethoven: Choral Fantasy, Campogrande: Concerto for Audience, John Rutter Christmas Carols, R. Vaughn Williams’ “Greensleeves,” and so much more. Where: The Suffolk, 118 E Main Street, Riverhead. When: December 22nd at 8pm.
