Queens Man Arrested for Lake Success Home Invasion

The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Queens man for Burglary that occurred in Lake Success on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 8:50 pm.

Update - November 13, 2014 - The Nassau County Police Department is requesting the assistance of the public to locate the owners of the property shown below. On November 1st, a Queens man was arrested for burglary in Lake Success. In his possession were the following items that are believed to be proceeds. Photos of the items below.

The ring is gold colored with two horse heads. One yellow and one silver. Clear stone eyes. The second photo is of a pillow sham. The gold heart has clear and red stones. It was found in the sham.

The last photo is of a piece of Plexiglas with Chinese writing. The English translation is Zeng Yan Qi, Grand Daughter, College Graduation.

Lake Success, NY - November 3rd, 2014 - The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Queens man for Burglary that occurred in Lake Success on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 8:50 pm.

According to detectives, Lake Success Police Officers being aware of burglaries in the area were intensively patrolling on Horizon Road when they observed a 1998 Silver Mercedes Benz parked suspiciously. The auto then drove away quickly at which time the officer’s pulled the vehicle over and conducted an investigation. The vehicle was being operated by the defendant who is a 29 year old Queens man whose identity has not been verified. The investigation is ongoing.

The man could not provide answers as to why he was parked on the street. Further investigation determined that a home in close proximity was burglarized. The defendant who was the sole occupant of the vehicle was placed into police custody and found to be in possession of Marijuana.

The defendant was charged with Burglary 2nd Degree and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. He was arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Sunday, November 2, 2014.
