Three Suspects Busted with 35 Envelopes of Heroin in Massapequa

The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of three individuals at 12:40am on Monday, October 31, 2022 in Massapequa.
 
A subsequent investigation into a fatal overdose that occurred in Massapequa on Friday, October 28, 2022 led Narcotics Vice Squad Detectives to arrest three individuals at 12:40am in front of 98 Melrose Avenue.  
 
Defendants Dylan J. Stanley, 19, of 583 Park Avenue Brooklyn; Kevin T. Mack, 31, of 115-16 132 Street South Ozone Park and Kashawn J. Mason, 20, of 53 Nostrand Avenue Brooklyn arrived in a 2019 Maserati bearing a VA registration of UBT4438; defendant Mack was the driver; defendant Mason was the front passenger and defendant Stanley was the rear passenger.  
 
As Detectives approached the vehicle, approximately thirty-five glassine envelopes all containing a tannish powdery substance believed to be Heroin were observed on the floor directly behind the passenger seat; all three were arrested without incident.  The vehicle was impounded as part of the arrest investigation.
 
Defendants Dylan J. Stanley, Kevin T. Mack and Kashawn J. Mason are each charged with one count of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree.  Defendant Stanley was personally in possession of 15 glassine envelopes and is charged with one additional count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree.  All three defendants were arraigned on Monday, October 31, 2022 in First District Court 99 Main Street Hempstead.
 
Defendant Dylan J. Stanley was previously arrested on November 3, 2021 for possessing a loaded firearm, he was convicted guilty of that crime on June 20, 2022 but still has not been sentenced at this time.
