Westbury Man Arrested for Burglarizing Local Subway

Westbury, NY - October 202nd, 2014 - The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Westbury man for Burglary that occurred on Monday, October 20, 2014 at 7:55 pm.

According to detectives, On Friday, October 10, 2014 Javier A. Alvarracin, 20, of 2241 Dogwood Lane was working and closed the Subway Store located 890 Old Country Road  at 11:00 PM. It was later determined that on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 3:46 am  Alvarracin returned back and entered through an unlocked rear door and removed an undisclosed amount of US currency from  a cash register.

On Monday, October 20, 2014 at 7:55 pm detectives located the defendant at his residence and later placed him into police custody without incident.

Javier A. Alvarracin is charged with Burglary 3rd Degree. He was arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Tuesday, October 21, 2014.
