West Babylon, NY - October 18, 2017 - Suffolk County First Squad Detectives are investigating a two-car crash that killed a West Babylon man.
 
Catherine Vezzi, 40, of Massapequa, was driving a 2016 Chevrolet Traverse northbound on Little East Neck Road when her vehicle collided with a 2016 Honda CRV that was traveling west on Locust Avenue and attempting to make a left onto southbound Little East Neck Road at approximately 4:55 p.m.
 
The driver of the CRV was extricated by Suffolk County Police Emergency Service officers and personnel from the West Babylon Fire Department. He was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip by West Babylon Fire Department Rescue where he succumbed to his injuries. His identification is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
 
The investigation is continuing.
