Central Islip Man Critically Injured in Single-Vehicle Crash

Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are investigating a single-vehicle crash that critically injured a Central Islip man early this morning.

Central Islip, NY - October 9th, 2014 - Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are investigating a single-vehicle crash that critically injured a Central Islip man early this morning.

Keith Norton was driving his 2011 Dodge pickup truck southbound on Connetquot Avenue, north of Napoli Street, when the vehicle veered off the road and struck a tree at 1:25 a.m.

Norton, 43, of Central Islip, was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where he was listed in critical condition. A female passenger in the vehicle was transported to Southside Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check and the investigation is continuing.
