Brendos King Of Heros Opens in Williston Park

With a name like Brendos King Of Heros, this sandwich shop has a lot to live up to.

 

The hot hero election has some very delicious sounding concoctions including the New Yorker, made up of ribeye, provolone, caramelized onions, roasted peppers, sautéed mushrooms on garlic aioli, ($14), the Sopranos, with sausage, provolone, caramelized onions, roasted peppers, garlic aioli on seeded semolina ($13), The Beast, with ribeye, bacon, mozzarella, crispy onion straws, gravy on toasted garlic bread ($16), and the Arthur Ave, made from sausage, mozzarella, vodka sauce, pesto aioli on seeded semolina ($13).

 

Cold heroes include the Contrastano, a fried chicken cutlet, soppressata, fresh mozzarella, roasted peppers, tomato, pesto aioli on seeded semolina ($15), the Luca Brasi, with mortadella, soppressata, provolone, cherry peppers, pesto aioli on a semolina hero ($15), and The Godfather with capicola, soppressata, mortadella, fresh mozzarella, sun dried peppers, lettuce, tomato, evoo and balsamic vinegar on seeded semolina ($16).

 

According to the online reviews, you can believe the hype. Brendos King Of Heros is making a name for itself around town.

 

On Google Reviews, Bonnie Parente gave it a five star review.

 

“Great food. I've had his food twice and each time it was amazing,” she wrote. “He uses fresh ingredients and oversees all of it. The place is immaculately clean. My husband and I both enjoyed our lunch today and look forward to more in the future. Can't wait to try his wings!”

 

On Yelp, Steve C, from Williston Park, was dubious but then the hero shop lived up to its name.

 

“When I saw him bill himself as the king of heroes, I laughed,” he wrote. “I'm not laughing anymore. This place is absolutely phenomenal… Brendo definitely lives up to the hype and I wish them all the success in the world. Can't wait to order it again.”
