The Association for Mental Health and Wellness, in collaboration with Suffolk County United Veterans, will hold their 11th Annual Chili Cook-Off and Pop-Up Restaurant on Saturday, October 16, 2021, from 12:30pm to 5:00pm at the Association for Mental Health and Wellness, Pollack Center, 939 Johnson Avenue, Ronkonkoma.

The event – which attracts hundreds of chili (and non-chili) enthusiasts each year – raises money to help people impacted by mental illness and at-risk and homeless veterans, including those with PTSD and depression.

Attendees will enjoy a diverse, delicious, and creative selection of meat and vegan chili dishes from local food establishments, area businesses, and local talent. Prizes will be given in several categories including a “People’s Choice” award.

To meet pandemic safety protocols, there will be two seatings: one at 12:30pm and another at 3:00pm. There will be a raffle with exciting gifts that participants can access now online or in-person at the event. In addition, live music will be provided by School of Rock at the 12:30 seating and by rising country artist Carolyn Miller at the 3:30pm seating.
