Amityville Funeral Home Robbery Leaves One Employee Stabbed; Police Seeking Two Suspects

An Amityville funeral home employee is recovering from stab wounds inflicted during the course of a robbery that took place last week, and Suffolk County Police are currently seeking the two suspects responsible.
 
The robbery took place on Wednesday, August 30 at the Slinger-Hasgill Funeral Home located on at 155 Sunrise Highway in Amityville. At appromixately 11:40 a.m., two suspects entered the business and accosted several employees; one of the suspects, brandishing a knife, stabbed one victim and then stole his cell phone and wallet before fleeing the scene on foot.
 
The stabbing victim was rushed to a local area hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening wounds to his body and leg. No other injuries were reported during the incident.
