Thelma was picked up as a stray in August 2014, making her the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter's LONGEST RESIDENT. Thelma is approximately 3 1/2 years old, 55 pounds and down right gorgeous. When she first came into the shelter she was very scared and unsure of herself, but has since become a volunteer favorite! She loves to play in the yard, is a great companion for a nice game of fetch, and offers smooches to anyone nearby.

But wait-Thelma even knows a ton of commands: sit, down, heel and touch! Thelma is a beautiful girl with the most soulful eyes and goofy floppy ears.
