On Saturday, August 27, 2022, at approximately 12:48 am, the State Police responded to a call for a crash on the Southern State Parkway westbound east of exit 13 in the town of Hempstead, Nassau County
Khalil Jones, 25 years-old of East Meadow, NY, was driving his 2003 Suzuki motorcycle westbound on the Southern State Parkway, when his motorcycle left the roadway and struck the center median. Khalil was ejected from the motorcycle into the left lane and was run over by two vehicles. Khalil died of his injuries at the scene and the two vehicles stayed on scene.
This collision is under investigation and the State Police is asking for witnesses or anyone with any information to call (631) 756-3300.
