The Brookhaven Animal Shelter and Adoption Center is waiving all adoption fees for the month of August, the Town announced. Included in every adoption of a dog or a cat are free neuter or spay, vaccinations, microchip, license, heartworm test, flea and fecal. Normal adoption fees are $137 for a dog and $125 for a cat.
The Town encourages anyone interested in adopting a dog or cat to visit the Brookhaven Animal Shelter and Adoption Center website to fill out a matchmaker application and call the shelter to schedule an appointment.
