NY State Police Investigating Homicide on Shinnecock Indian Reservation

According to the New York State Police, Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 fast cash reward for information leading to an arrest in connection with a homicide on the Shinnecock Indian Reservation.
 
The victim has been identified as Mr. Mtundo Vanterpool, 43 years of age, who resided on the Shinnecock reservation,  but was not a member. State Police are asking for information regarding the location of Mr. Michael Gaines, 42 years of age, pictured above, who also resided on the Shinnecock reservation but was not a member.  It is believed he has information regarding this investigation.
 
The fast cash reward will be issued within 72 hours to anyone who provides the information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about these incidents can contact Suffolk County Crime Stoppers to submit an anonymous tip by calling 1-800-220-TIPS, texting “SCPD” and your message to “CRIMES” (274637) or by email at www.tipsubmit.com. All calls, text messages and emails will be kept confidential.  
 
In addition to crimes stoppers calls can still be made to the State Police at (631) 756-3300. All calls will remain confidential.
