The Third Squad reports an arrest for an Attempted Murder that occurred on Wednesday July 20, 2022 at 12:48am in Hempstead.

According to Detectives, Defendant Terrell Nesbitt, 26, of 162 State Street New Cassel while on Kennedy Avenue at Windsor Parkway did point a loaded firearm at the male victim while he was operating his vehicle northbound on Kennedy Avenue.  The defendant fired four rounds from a .40 caliber handgun striking the vehicle multiple times.  No injuries were reported.

On Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 2:45pm Third Squad Detectives assisted by the Bureau of Special Operations and the Electronic Squad conducted a Vehicle and Traffic Law Stop at Cramer Court and James Court in Baldwin.  Defendant Terrell Nesbitt was located in the passenger seat of the vehicle and placed under arrest without incident.  He is charged with Murder 2nd Degree (Attempt), Criminal Possession of a Weapon and Reckless Endangerment.  Defendant Terrell Nesbitt will be arraigned on Sunday, August 14, 2022 in First District Court 99 Main Street Hempstead.
