Freeport, NY - August 14, 2018 - First Squad detectives report the details of an arrest for Making a Terroristic Threat which occurred on Monday, August 13, 2018 at 10:29 A.M. in Freeport.
According to detectives Leonel Vinas, 26, of Freeport did post threats to law enforcement officers on his Instagram account. After an investigation, the defendant was located and taken into custody at Kennedy Airport, Queens without incident.
Vinas is charged with Making a Terroristic Threat and will be arraigned at First District Court, Hempstead on Tuesday, August 14, 2018.
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
