Rockville Center, NY - August 3, 2018 - The Homicide Squad reports the details of a fatal vehicular accident that occurred on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 12:03 A.M. in Rockville Center.
According to detectives, a male, 41, while operating a 1999 Harley Davidson Motorcycle north on Rockaway Avenue struck the curbing while attempting to navigate a curve in the roadway. The motorcycle left the roadway and collided with a 2014 Kia that was parked in the driveway of 115 Rockaway Avenue then careened through shrubbery where the driver was ejected off the motorcycle and struck a tree.
The driver was transported to South Nassau Hospital where he was pronounced deceased at 12:52 A.M. by hospital staff. Identification of the deceased is being withheld pending family notification. The investigation is ongoing.
