NCPD: Two Men Charged with Burglary in Hicksville School

Two young men were found stealing belongings from a school gym locker room.

Hicksville, NY - April 23, 2014 - The Second Squad reports two arrests for a Burglary which occurred on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 4:20 P.M. in Hicksville.
 
According to detectives, Second Precinct Officers were called to Hicksville High School to investigate two men who were in the locker room going through bags.  Upon arrival, Karn Chauhan, 19, 0f 202 1st Street, Hicksville, was identified as one of the men who had taken two cell phones from separate bags.  Chauhan had been informed in the past that he was not allowed on school property.  He was arrested at scene without incident.  Through investigation it was determined that Joseph Ferguson (pictured right), 18, of 14 Glenbrook Road, Hicksville was the second suspect involved in the incident.  He was located on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 11:38 P.M. at his residence and placed under arrest without incident.  The cell phones were returned to the victims.
 
Both men are charged with Burglary 3rd degree.  Chauhan was scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 and Ferguson will be arraigned on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at First District Court in Hempstead.
