The Arson Bomb Squad reports the details of a Fire that occurred at 11:50pm on Wednesday July 20, 2022 in Merrick.
According to Detectives, Officers responded to 151 Merrick Avenue for an active fire that started in the kitchen of the Fuji Seoul Restaurant. The Merrick Fire Department assisted by the Roosevelt, Wantagh and Freeport Fire Departments
responded to assist in extinguishing the fire.
Approximately five businesses were affected by the fire and homes in the vicinity were evacuated for precautionary reasons. One firefighter was transported to Nassau University Medical Center for a minor injury in stable condition. Fire Marshall Battaglia responded to the scene.
Detectives have deemed the fire non-suspicious.
The investigating is ongoing.
