NYU Langone Health (NYU Langone) and Long Island Community Hospital (LI Community Hospital) today announced their execution of an affiliation agreement that will bring the two organizations together to expand, enhance, and clinically integrate their healthcare networks in Suffolk County.
The parties are now seeking regulatory approval, with the goal of closing on the affiliation at the end of 2021. Once implemented, the affiliation will further extend NYU Langone’s healthcare network into eastern Long Island, and make available the resources, technologies and capabilities of a world class academic medical center to the more than 400,000 people served by LI Community Hospital.

Grossman, MD, dean and CEO of NYU Langone Health. “Today’s agreement publicly confirms our confidence that an affiliation will allow both of our institutions to collaborate and share best practices to better meet the healthcare needs of the communities we serve.”

NYU Langone, which has hospitals in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Mineola and is consistently ranked among the top hospitals in the country, has six inpatient locations and more than 350 ambulatory sites throughout the region, with more than 150 practices in Queens and Long Island.
LI Community Hospital provides more than 400,000 community members with a range of quality services through the hospital facility, Ambulatory Surgical Pavilion and Knapp Cardiac Care Center, two outpatient wound care centers, Main Street facilities for hemodialysis, home care and primary care through multiple locations throughout the surrounding area.
